Our talented millwrights and machinists are always willing to take on the most challenging projects in the most remote locations. At this site, which is located 500 km north of Winnipeg, MB, all of the equipment and materials required had to be flown in or brought in by rail. We took over this field machining project and made improvements to the portable machining equipment. These improvements plus our exceptionally skilled tradesmen helped us reduce the project timeline by half. We also supported the project with our in-house capabilities. We designed a fixture to machine replacement plates that had an extremely critical three-dimensional surface. These plates were fit into the machined pockets on the lower head-cover and fastened into place.
